The Hurley name has been synonymous with automotive and marine excellence for generations. Glynn’s father, Ted Hurley, was a legendary figure in Australian ski racing, known not just for his remarkable achievements but for his integrity and commitment to helping others.
Ted was renowned for his three Southern 80 victories and his dedication to mentoring younger racers, embodying the values of excellence, determination, and generosity that continue to guide our business today.
Like his father before him, Ted Hurley believed that success came from giving “100 percent” to everything you do – a philosophy that Glynn carries forward at Hurley Marine & Auto.

Our Story
Automotive excellence runs in our blood. From his earliest memories, Glynn Hurley was immersed in the world of motor vehicles, learning the trade alongside his parents in their family business.
Beginning his journey in 1976 at age 16, Glynn worked in the family’s panel shop, tow truck service, and mechanical repair business.
This comprehensive experience expanded into automotive parts in 1984, before evolving into quality used car sales in 1992.
Today, Hurley Marine & Auto operates as a boutique automotive and marine centre, offering a carefully curated selection of premium used vehicles.
